Principal Class Report

Principal Class Report Wk 11, Tm 4

To the families of LPS

As 2025 draws to a close, I wish to share some moments of thanks:

  • To the 2025 student leaders, you have guided those around you and inspired budding leaders amongst us.  You have helped your peers spread their wings with your energy and creativity.  You have set a brilliant example, and we cannot wait to see you take flight into everything that comes next.
  • To all of our teachers:  Thank you for being part educator, part counsellor, part detective and part stand-up comedian.  You have taught curriculum, solved mysteries and kept cool, calm and collected.  Your dedication is the heartbeat of this school.
  • To our support staff:  Thank you to the office legends, integration aides, tech wizards and groundkeepers, you are the invisible superpowers that make this place work.
  • To our families:  Thank you for partnering with us and trusting us with your most precious gift.  Your presence at LPS has been positively felt with your support, encouragement and engagement through volunteering at school events, PFA, School Council, fundraising, camps and excursions.  On behalf of the LPS staff, we thank you for each gesture, big and small. You are a crucial part of the LPS village.

I truly hope that each and every person has a safe and joyous holiday time.

We look forward to seeing our students return refreshed, ready to learn, and ready to take flight into the adventures ahead!

Regards,

Monique Corcoran - Principal

Moira McCann, Mansi Vadera and Delvina Waiti - Assistant Principals

Our deepest condolences

Gallery Image

We, together with the whole of Australia, share in the grief that follows the appalling events at Bondi Beach on Sunday.

We send our condolences to the families of those who died, we express our love for any in our school community directly impacted by these events and acknowledge that we are all affected by what occurred.

We say to our Jewish families and to our whole school community that these events only strengthen our resolve to do all we can to address and eliminate any and all forms of anti-Semitism.

If you think your child would benefit from additional support, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We would like to share information and resources for parents and carers to help their children unlock their potential for a new year of learning in 2026.

  • Stories from the new year:  Kick off the new school year with stories straight from the classroom! Hear from staff, little learners, and students of all ages as they share their new adventures going into a new year of learning.
  • Kinder to Prep:  With big sister Audra’s advice and a smooth transition ahead, Marlo can’t wait for the adventures of Primary School – especially lunch orders!
