Foundation Excursion

Foundation Students visit Werribee Zoo!
We had a fantastic day at Werribee Zoo! The Foundation students were thrilled to see so many animals up close on the safari bus, and it was wonderful to witness their excitement. The event was organised as the culmination of their learning about living and non‑living things, bringing classroom concepts to life in the most memorable way.
A special thank you to Erin, Elliott’s dad in Prep A, who works at the zoo and kindly drove the safari bus through the savannah. His passion and storytelling truly brought the experience to life. His knowledge reminded us all of the importance of protecting and appreciating the natural world. He also shared insights that taught the teachers something new!
Students became Habitat Heroes, engaging in activities that deepened their understanding of living things. We were so proud of their exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm, representing Wales Street PS beautifully.
A huge thank you to our parent helpers, who went above and beyond to make this day possible. Your support and dedication are greatly appreciated. We could not have experiences like this without you!
Kind regards
The Foundation Team
