Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to St Edward's School for 2026! To all current families, welcome back. We trust you have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and summer holiday with your children. To all our new families, we welcome you to the St Edward's community and hope the start of your time here is happy and prosperous. We look forward to working with all our beautiful children as we continue to improve our focus on student-centred learning in a fun and safe environment.

We have made a great start despite the heat. We have spent considerable time today talking to our students at length about our expectations. Quite simply, we have high standards for manners, conduct, wearing the school uniform, and working in class to the very best of their potential, so that our teachers and staff can teach effectively.

Our Core Catholic Values and our three Rules for Living:

# I am Safe

# I am Valued, Respected and Cared For

# I am a Learner

are at the centre of how we act, respond, and treat others in our community.

We ask for your support in maintaining these standards across our school community by ensuring your child presents each day in their full St Edward's school uniform and that good manners and respectful behaviours are reinforced at home.

Information Booklet and Staffing Structure

In my recent communication home, I introduced the new staff for 2026 at our school. Please take the time to read our information booklet and get to know the staff at St Ed's, as well as the roles outlined in the staffing booklet.

I look forward to a wonderful year.

Keep Smiling,

Alison Hatton
