Can we Help your Family?
From knowing about different types of funding and support; what is going on in the school; access to food, uniform and stationery items; being able to offer different payment methods; there are many ways the school office team can assist, link you in with other staff and offer support to you and your family. Please contact Melissa, Jen or Annie for an informal, confidential chat on 9876 3289 or kalinda.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
Our Junior School Council raised $434 on the last day of term for our 'Future Selves' dress-up day. Well done to all !
Foundation, Grade 1 and 2 are going swimming from Monday, 1 September.
It's a great idea to practise getting dressed, because the students will need to dry and dress themselves after their lessons.
It's a great idea to dress the students in their swimming costumes.
Practice rolling up items in a towel - and they will need a bag to put the items in.
Do you have enough underwear for them? They will need 5 pairs and towels.
Pack googles if they are used; please ensure they have a labelled case.
Parents must have a pass from the office to attend and help. We remind families and helpers that no photos are permitted in the swimming pool area.
You will be able to upload it to your digital wallet or print a paper copy. You will not receive a plastic card in the mail anymore. A reminder that you will need it every time you come to assist at Kalinda.
Travel passes can also be used for other reasons, such as travelling to:
a medical or rehabilitation appointment
a counselling session; or
temporary or crisis accommodation.
These passes can be used on any of the following:
bus, train and tram trips in metropolitan Melbourne (Zone1 and 2)
all regional town buses
PTV inter-town buses
V/Line coaches; and
V/Line trains.
Please see the new price list for 2025 -26

Do you ever find that Compass doesn’t cater for the payment option that would suit your family? If this is the case, please get in touch with us and let us know via a confidential email to kalinda.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
There are lots of different payment options available, but Compass limits us to offering one option to all families. If paying for an event over several weeks, or in smaller payments, suits your circumstances better, we are happy to make this available to you.
