Kindergarten Timetable Example
Our daily Kindergarten routine has the following flow. This timetable will help you to talk with your child to prepare and/ or ask them about their day.

Doors open. Children and parents arrive, greet the teaching staff and settle the children into the day completing daily welcoming rituals of greeting one another, registering and engaging in calm activities together (reading, playdough, puzzles etc).

Parents leave for class welcome on the mat and introduction to the day's activities |
9.15am - 10.00am

Indoor and outdoor child led and adult directed play opportunities |
10.00am - 11.15am |
Specialist Teachers engage with the children and provide group learning experiences (Sport, Music, Mandarin and Art)

Morning Tea |

Class whole group time - review morning play and story |

Rest time with Education Assistants and Specialist Teachers |

Afternoon play activities indoor and outdoor (weather dependant) |

Class pack up time, review of day, story and walk to meet parents at the gate

End of program - Parents collect children from the school gate

Each class has a main class teacher and two education assistants. A second teacher takes the class on Thursday or Friday when the class teacher is doing duties other than teaching (e.g. planning and preparation). A Specialist teacher takes the class each day for activities and at rest times.
