Leadership updates and reflections

A Wonderful Start to Term 3

It’s been a very busy and exciting start to Term 3, filled with enriching learning experiences for our students. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our amazing teachers and the incredible support of our parent community.

From P–2 gymnastics and junior art classes to Grade 3/4 Hooptime, Matilda Jr. props and costumes, the Grade 3–6 Athletics Sports, and the Grade 3/4 excursions to Queen Victoria Market and Cultural Cooking Days – the number of parent volunteers involved has been truly outstanding.

A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our volunteers. Your time, energy, and support make a real difference, and we are so grateful!

Exciting News! Basketball Court Surface Upgrade This Week

We’re thrilled to announce that the upgrade to our basketball court surface is happening this week!

Thanks to the incredible support of the Warrandyte Community Bank and the generosity of our parent fundraising efforts, we’ll soon have a brand-new, more forgiving surface—perfect for PE lessons, school sport, and recreational use by both our students and the wider community.

Although the court will be ready for action next week, the official opening will take place early in Term 4, once the edging and the WPPS and Bendigo Bank logos are installed.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this fantastic improvement possible!

Congratulations to Our 2025 Preps!

A big congratulations to our wonderful Prep students on reaching their first 100 days of school! What a milestone and what a fun way to celebrate, with their teachers, friends, and buddies, under the theme 100 Days Brighter.

We are so proud of everything they’ve learned and how they have become such a connected and caring prep community. It’s pure joy to see how much our Preps love school and learning. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

Matilda Jr. – A Must-See!

And for another dose of joy, you only need to witness a Matilda Jr. rehearsal! The enthusiasm, energy, and talent on display are incredible!  It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable show.

With over 1,000 tickets already sold, it's set to be a sellout. If you haven’t secured your seats yet, be sure to head to the TryBooking link and get your tickets today. The Matilda Jnr.  production is sure to be one of the highlights of the year!

School Review Update -Listening to Our Community

Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to gather the voices of our staff, students, parents, and school councillors. Thank you to everyone who shared their perspectives and suggestions, whether through the forums facilitated by Dave Wilkins or by completing the Parent Survey.

We were thrilled to receive 122 survey responses - an impressive number that reflects the strong engagement and support from our community. Your thoughtful feedback has provided us with many valuable ideas, and we look forward to using these insights to shape the future priorities of our school together through the upcoming School Review process.

Warm regards

Julie

Community Reminders

Carpark Safety

We kindly ask that families refrain from using the staff car park, as it is reserved for school personnel during school hours. This helps ensure the safety of all students and staff, and allows for smooth daily operations. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Road Safety

Several parents reported concerns about road safety last week with cars passing on the wrong side of the road creating a potentially dangerous situation.  For everyone's safety, please exercise patience and caution particuarly during the busy drop-off and pick-up times.
