The world's oceans are as mysterious and remote as outer space. There are large parts of the ocean depths that we know little or nothing about. The animals and plants that live there are weird and alien. In contrast the shallow oceans are home to magnificent corals and fish. Find out about the hidden importance of the ocean and how its movements temperature and contents affect all life on Earth.
Winston is wearing his brightest, yellowest sweat suit today because it's an important day for him. It's the kind of day that only happens once a year. He hopes his friends will remember and help him celebrate. But everyone is busy, even his good friend Miles. Miles is working on a special mission that requires an awful lot of help. Winston didn't plan to hide in a bin, crawl through a hedge and wear a disguise on his special day. Luckily Miles is as good at surprises as he is at secret missions in this story about expectations and friendship.
These books and many more are available to borrow from the Library.
Please join us for our eagerly anticipated Book Character Parade on Friday, August 22nd. In order to celebrate all the wonderful stories we regularly enjoy, all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite character from any adventure story, or as their favourite author or book character - this year’s theme, 'Book an Adventure' will allow our imaginations to run wild. Students can dress up as individuals or partner up with a sibling or friend. It’s costume time again!
Our school is fortunate to have an influx of brand-new books for our students, but we can't add them to our library until they are covered.
The library is looking for volunteers to help cover brand new books for our library!
We have take-home packs of up to 10 books with contact paper, ready to be collected, covered and returned.
There is no need for them to be perfect, just covered so we can get them into the library ready for borrowing.
If you are interested in volunteering, please phone the office to arrange collection.
This year each class will have their 30 minute library lesson.
