Religious Education & Pastoral Care

Mrs Trish Mitchell

Assistant Principal & Religious Education Coordinator

Dear God,

As we gather once again after our refreshing holiday break, we thank you for the gift of rest and time with our families.

We ask for your blessings upon all the students, teachers, and staff of St Joseph's School. Help us to be open to learning, kind to one another, and eager to share our gifts throughout Term 3.

May our classrooms be places of discovery and joy, and our playgrounds filled with laughter and friendship. Guide us, Lord, to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and your love.

We look forward to a wonderful term ahead, filled with new adventures and opportunities to shine your light.

Amen

Living Well, Learning Well

Navigating the Digital World Safely

We've noticed a growing concern about our students' access to social media platforms at an age much younger than recommended. It's crucial for us as a school community, working alongside families, to ensure our students are safe online. Many social media platforms have age restrictions, often 13 and older, for very good reasons. These platforms can expose children to content that isn't suitable for their age, and they can also be places where online risks can occur. We strongly urge parents to avoid allowing their primary school-aged children to create accounts on these platforms. For those who do have access, active monitoring of their online activity is essential. Let's work together to protect our children and guide them towards healthy and safe online habits.

Seatbelt Safety

Is your child big enough to be safely restrained by a seatbelt? Take the five step test before you move your child to an adult seatbelt they must pass this five step test.

Yours in Faith,

Trish Mitchell
