Holiday chicken helpers

We are just so lucky to have generous and caring community minded families who always offer to help care for our chickens and those who decided to give it a go for the first time these past holidays. Your generosity allows staff to take a break from this responsibility and by all accounts you have really enjoyed the chance to be up at school over the holidays and having the chooks all to yourselves. We know the chooks and the students have enjoyed it by the smiles on all of their faces. Please enjoy these photos shared by the participating families. They are just beautiful.

Prep - Kitchen Garden

This term the Prep students will participate in the Kitchen Garden program. They began this week with an introductory session learning about the names and uses of common kitchen and garden equipment. They familiarized themselves with the outdoor kitchen learning how to act safely in the space and how to put utensils away. They learnt the names of garden tools such as secateurs, trowel, rake, mallet and others. We will start our cooking sessions from wk 3  - we are sure to have a lot of fun and get messy!!
