Gotch4Life 24hr Row

On October the 6th (last Friday) six boys Ari, Beckett, Jack, Joel, JT and Suleman from Level 6 ran a fundraiser for Gotcha4Life.

Gotcha4Life is an organisation that raises money for youth mental health. They use the money that they raise to run clinics and talks to communities, clubs and schools about mental and how to help with poor mental health or problems people may have.

Our Gotcha4Life 4x6hrs Rowing event started at 9:15 am and ended at 3:15 pm. In that whole time 4 rowers were going continuously for six hours, overall making it a 24-Hour row.

The rowers together completed over 180 kilometres.

Before the rowers started going on the day, we had two guest speakers come in and talk, Jamie, a Gotcha4life worker and Justin, a Club Lime worker. They both gave inspiring speeches and insights on mental health and fitness.

Leading up to the day, to raise money, we did a raffle where you could win two massive lolly jars and on the day we gave out Zooper Doopers for a donation.

Overall we raised $2388 which is a huge achievement!

We’d like to thank everyone who rowed, helped and organised this event and gave us 6 boys a chance to raise this much money for such a great cause.

We especially thank Vanessa Blake, Mr Oakey, Mr Zach, Ms Little, Ms Beagley, The Parents Committee  and Lisa and Karra from the office for helping  us organise and put everything in place.
