Physical Education

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

It's a jammed packed term to finish the year. Heaps of opportunities for students to explore and develop their movement and skills. Orienteering, Soccer, Frisbee Golf, Bowls Rugby League, Tennis and Atheltics will form the basis of the program in Term 4. One big feature this term is our Prep to Grade 4 swimming program in Mid-November. A notice with information will be out shortly. Swimming is an essential part of physical activity and lifestyle in Australia, any opportunity for students of all levels to practice and grow their confidence and capability is important so I encourage families to engage in the program.

The program will also be stage 1 of selection forour 2024 swimming team for grade 2-4 students. Student who demonstrate a sound competative swimming ability in race strokes will be invited to trial in December.

MRS PARKINSON LEADS MELBOURNE FC

Mrs. Parkinson wears a number of hats, one is as an AFLW Assistant coach with Melbourne.  She has worked hard at her craft over a number of years and was rewarded in the match against Hawthorn as she took charge as the head coach and led the team to a convincing victory. Congratulations Mrs. Parkinson on the achievement, we are all really proud of your achievement and growth as a leader in the AFLW.

FIRST YEAR, FIRST PREMIERSHIP

Congratulations to Mr Hicks on leading the Scoresby FC Reserves to the Division 4 Premiership in his first year as Reserves coach. The game was a tight affair with multiple lead changes and a tense final 3mins which saw the team hold on to a narrow 2pt lead and the victory!
