NEWS & ADMINISTRATION

Mrs Caroline Galea

Dear Parents,

At the end of last term, we needed to remove the banners along the fence. The banner was acting as a barrier, preventing the wind from flowing through, consequently it was pulling the fence down. Since the banner was removed, we have had a couple of children say that strangers have spoken to them through the fence. This week at assembly, I addressed the area of stranger danger.  Without scaring the children, I did explain that we should not be talking to strangers through the fence. They need to alert staff immediately if they are spoken to.  If you could please have the same discussion with your children at home, it would be appreciated.

This week, we also invited families in to view our Art Exhibition.  Most families were quite impressed with the children's artwork. We would like to thank Mrs Louise Preece for the outstanding work that she has been doing with the children. From speaking to many of you, I know that the children really enjoy their art lessons.

We also ask that you keep Ms Nadia Ascenzo in your prayers as she recovers from the removal of her appendix.

Referendum Voting

This Saturday, Holy Name Hall will be open for voting. The Vietnamese community will be selling sausages, so come along, vote and get yourself a Democracy sausage.

CONGRATULATIONS

We would like to extend our congratulations to two students for their remarkable artwork.

Firstly, Elsa's entry into the 2023 Wild At Art threatened species art competition saw her become one of the 110 finalists out of 7000 entries. Well done Elsa.

Our second congratulations is extended to Alannah whose art work was entered into 'The Victorian Association for Gifted and Talented Children' and put into their yearly catalogue!

Congratulations Alannah.

Thank you

To our wonderful parents, Antonietta A, Marcie A & Carmela G who cooked & bagged up over 1,300 chicken nuggets for our hungry students last Monday.

It was a mammoth effort, and on behalf of the children, we thank you for your help with this special lunch day.

Could we please ask all parents to check their child's glasses, as badly scratched lenses can be detrimental to your child's eye health, and make it difficult for them to see out of.
