Weeden's Chess Champion

On Sunday 17 September, I played the Victorian Rapid Chess Championship. I had a really fun time participating in the tournament and I won 6 out 7 matches.  I had 13 minutes on my timer and each time I made a move I got 2 extra seconds.  

In the end, I came 3rd out of 83 players in the Under 10 Rapid Championships.

Life Education

Senior school students had an engaging Life Ed session last week where they examined some common myths around smoking & vaping, and together with Harold, figured out what the real truth is. They were made aware of the harmful effects of smoking and vaping, and were encouraged to stop and think for themselves before believing what someone else says. They also learnt about reliable health information sources regarding these activities. The session included interactive activities such as small group work, a quiz and of course, meeting with Harold!

Public Speaking Competition

Students have been working hard on their speeches that will be presented to the class next week. We are looking forward to seeing our students' excellent public speaking skills on show.
