We are selling trays of mangoes picked and packed during the premium harvest.

The Product

The Mango Fundraiser only use Bowen Special Mangoes which are more formally known as Kensington Pride Mangoes.  They are packed in a single layer tray and each tray will weigh approximately 4.5kg.

As well as having a great taste, Mangoes are packed with nutritional goodness – Vitamin C (one Mango contains your recommended daily allowance), Vitamin E, Beta-Carotene, antioxidants, Potassium & B Vitamins.  They are low in fat & Cholesterol free.

When you buy Mangoes from the Mango Fundraiser you know the fruit is coming directly from the farm to you.  Your mangoes aren’t being held for long periods in storage or ripening rooms.

Collection Date

The week of Monday 27 November 2023 - actual collection date and times will be emailed closer to the date.

Mango trays will have to be collected by an adult.

We have received unfortunate news from the folk at The Mango Fundraiser about this year’s mango yield. A message from the supplier...

'We have an important update to make to this year’s fundraiser. August is the final month of mango flowering and so our mango trees are now at the stage where we can start making crop estimates. We are expecting a crop of only 20% of our average which is similar to our 2021 season.  This is consistent with mango orchards all across Australia where there seems to be a widespread crop failure.

Fortunately, we have experience dealing with a low crop yield. As we did in 2021, we will again be offering 4.5kg trays instead of 7kg trays. However, we will not be restricting order quantities. We are confident we can manage the number of orders with the decreased tray size alone.

With a decrease of $2 per tray, this is a higher price than usual however we expect mango prices to be very high given the widespread mango shortage across Australia. Furthermore, the superior tasting Bowen mango (Kensington Pride) will be much harder to find in shops.

We know this will be a challenge for many of you, especially those who have sent out information to parents and other customers. We would rather not have to do this, and we’ve held off until now in the hope that more mango flowers would come.

Our business will take another big hit this year so we would really appreciate your ongoing support.'

Bunnings Barbeque

The Bunnings Barbeque was a huge success this year with the PFA being able to raise over $2500!  Our thanks for the help and support provided by the school and the volunteers who participated in running this grand event and thanks also to Bunnings Fountain Gate.

We had a visit from Mr Roger Page at the stall to show his support for the event. It was a pleasure seeing him and his Mrs Page on the day.
