CSEF & SSB Funds

CSEF funds

With the new year underway, you may be eligible to receive CSEF (Camp, Sport, Excursion Fund) money to use to support your child(ren) to attend/participate in Sports, Excursions, Incursions and Camps.

Please note:

  • Upon enrolling in a new school, all CSEF eligible families are required to re-submit a CSEF application
  • This form, along with a copy of your healthcare card can be dropped off at Northcote High School or emailed to info@nhs.vic.edu.au
  • If your child(ren) has funds remaining from their previous school, please email info@nhs.vic.edu.au.

All 2026 CSEF applications must be submitted by 26th June 2026, however, please note that the earlier your application is submitted, the earlier you will have access to these funds. In 2026 eligible students receive $400.00.

What are CSEF funds: CSEF funds are held by the school and linked to the student. CSEF funds are non-refundable and cannot be used for payment of Essential School Learning Items (ESLI). CSEF funds cannot be shared or used by siblings unless a student with CSEF funds has exited the school.

CSEF funds can be used to support your child(ren) to attend activities like:

  • School camps or trips
  • School-organised sport programs
  • Outdoor education programs
  • Excursions and incursions

How to use your CSEF funds:  NHS uses Compass for the organisation and administration of all School events, camps and activities. If you would like to use your available CSEF funds to pay for an event, camp or activity for your child please select this payment option in the Compass Event.

Alternatively, you may email your request to info@nhs.vic.edu.au with:

  • your child’s student ID number
  • the name of the event, camp, or activity and that you want to use CSEF funding to pay for the event.

Once you have been marked off on the Compass Event as ‘paid via CSEF’ you can then give consent for your child to attend the event.
