Volleyball Gold Coast Trip

In the final week of school in 2025, we had 20 students represent NHS at the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup in the Gold Coast.
The competition was a full week of volleyball, competing against schools from all over Australia and New Zealand.
Our Yr 10/11 Boys team competed in division 1, going up against some incredibly talented schools. After what was a slow start to the week and having to make big adjustments to the inclement weather, our boys finished the week strongly and managed to get some very convincing wins. Our team secured 27th place in the country, with an impressive win against hometown rivals, Ivanhoe Grammar, to close out the week.
Congratulations to Xander, Hugh, Xavier, Quincy, Tom, Leif, Jasper, Alex B, Alex C, Zee and Finn on an incredible effort.
Our Yr 10 Girls competed in a very strong division 3 for the week. The team got off to a strong start, setting themselves up for a highly competitive week of volleyball. With several wins under their belt, the team was in a great position to push for a medal at a national tournament. After what was an incredibly tight match against Harristown, our girls managed to secure 4th place in the division.
Well done to Keeva, Saskia, Pia, Maleah, Georgia, Emily, Matilda, Chloe and Trixie on an amazing achievement.
And a big thank you goes out to our incredible coaches, Jonny and Kesinee. They were incredibly supportive of our students and helped make the trip a great success.
We are looking forward to a big 2026 for NHS Volleyball, with everything set to start in Term 2.
