First 4 Days at Big School

During the first four days of primary school, students participated in a special transition program designed to help them feel comfortable and confident at BNWPS. Children were organised into morning and afternoon groups, giving them the opportunity to get to know one another while becoming familiar with the school setting and classroom spaces.

Throughout the program, students engaged in Guided Play, exploring classroom resources and learning to work together. They spent time exploring the school grounds, met key school staff, and completed lessons in the classroom where they were introduced to school rules and routines.

One of the lessons focused on introducing the concept of a timetable. In the photos, you will see the morning group creating a weekly timetable poster to take home and display.
