You’re warmly invited to join us at Yakai Barring Bush Playgroup, an all-weather outdoor playgroup for babies to preschoolers and their grown-ups.

Our playgroup celebrates unstructured, adventurous play in nature, where children are encouraged to explore, assess risks, build independence and develop a love of the natural world.

Families are encouraged to arrive between 9:00–9:15am to grab a hot drink (BYO keep cup) and snacks from Sprout Café before heading down to play. Please enter and exit via the front office on Culloden Street, remembering to sign in and out.

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

As Yakai Barring Bush Playgroup is held on school grounds, all adults attending are required to have a Working With Children Check. The check is free—simply lodge your application as a Brunswick North West Primary School volunteer. Your WWCC card will need to be sighted at the BNWPS front office and kept on record. If you have any questions about the process, the friendly office staff are happy to help.
