Newlands in a Nutshell

Here is a snapshot of the important things you don't want to miss in this newsletter! Be sure to read for a more comprehensive rundown of all things happening in Newlands.

    

  • Badge ceremony for the 2026 Year 6 student leaders - part of today's whole-school assembly, starting at 2:45pm
  • We have a photographer attending Newlands on Monday 9th and 10th February for publicity and marketing purposes. Please ensure your child in in full school uniform and you have responsed to the permissions on Sentral. 
  • Parent Helper Program will begin in Week 4 and Week 6 for Foundation 
  • 2027 School Tours https://www.trybooking.com/DJKLP
  • Lunchtime clubs beginning next week
  • School Council Nominations can be collected from the office

     

     

Reminders

  • Term 1 is a hat term, please ensure your child is coming to school with a sun smart hat each day
  • Students are encouraged to ride to school. Bike racks can be found near the playground on the oval (Laneway between McNamara & Murphy)
  • Grades 1/2 and 3/4 who finish the day with Specialist classes will be dismissed from the quadrangle
