Le Page Green Team

Are you passionate about transforming our school into an eco-friendly, clean and sustainable place? Do you enjoy gardening, crafting with nature materials, recycling, and growing your own seeds and plants? Do you have a great idea how we could make our school a greener place for students, staff and wildlife?

We hope to see you Wednesday!

Green Team

This term we have been busy in the green team. We have planted some tomatoes which were kindly donated by the Buis family in Prep B. The tomatoes are growing well thanks to the hard work and watering efforts from the students. We harvested lots of snow peas yesterday. They tasted delicious!

We will be planting many more vegetables next year and we look forward to a successful year of vegetable growing!

Thank you very much. Jacqueline Buchan and Kelleigh Caulfield.

Potato Club

In Term three we started to prepare our small garden beds in readiness to plant potatoes and carrots. At the beginning of Term Four we planted our potatoes and carrot seeds. We have just recently harvested the potatoes. They had been growing well and quite vigorously. I was hoping for about a dozen but we harvested over 120+ potatoes!! It was an amazing result and the students were so thrilled with the results. This was due to their hard work and commitment! It really was so wonderful to see the joy and happiness on everyone’s faces. The potatoes were divided and shared between the students and the teachers. Well done to all of the students who helped weed, water, plant and harvest the potatoes. You all did a fabulous job and I am very proud of you. I look forward to planting more potatoes next year.

Thank you very much. Jacqueline Buchan.
