Knitting Beanies

Knitting Beanies for the Miracle Babies Foundation

In 2023, Mazenod staff, students and some community members were able to knit 50 beanies for the Miracle Babies Foundation. The Miracle Babies Foundation is Australia’s leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them.

During lunchtimes, staff taught students and other staff how to knit. It was wonderful to see so many students involved and eager to learn how to knit to help those in need. Hopefully, next year, those students will continue to build on their skills and we’ll be able to make even more beanies and have even more students involved. The staff team of Ms Edwards, Ms Murphy, Ms Paduano, Ms Botica, Ms McDonald, Ms Hardwick, Ms Worthington, Ms Pagotto, Ms Hughes and Ms Raschella provided wonderful guidance to the students involved and their hard work is greatly appreciated.
