END OF SEASON 2 - 2023
MJBC would like to take this opportunity in thanking all coaches and team managers for volunteering their time throughout Season 2, and look forward to hopefully seeing you all back for Season 1 – 2024
Registrations will be open shortly, so please keep an eye open on our Facebook page and please make sure you register early as teams fill up quickly.
If you still have a team bag or a borrowed uniform can you please ensure you drop it off to Student Services at the College. Student Services will be open until 21 December.
Please note that Game Tickets will be increased to $10 for 2024.
CONGRATULATIONS - FINAL WINNERS
MJBC would like to congratulate all teams that competed in Season 2. We had six teams make it through to grand finals and out of those six, we had 4 Premiership teams. Congratulations to the Mazza Spurs, Mazza Blazers, Mazza Bears and the Mazza Sharks. Mazza Breakers and Mazza Nets both came out as runners-up losing by only a margin. Congratulations also, to all the MVP players that were awarded medallions for their great efforts over the season.
2024 – MJBC Committee
On Thursday evening the MJBC AGM was held and I would like to welcome the new committee for 2024. If you would like to be part of the 2024 committee please contact the president as we would love to have more parents involved so we can continue to have the large number of teams and be able to hold additional basketball activities throughout the year. MJBC would like to say goodbye and thank you to Kieran Stack (Property Officer) as his son graduated this year and to Eloise Scott (Registrar Season 1 and 2).

Mazenod Junior Basketball and St Brigid’s Basketball Clubs Unite
With Kalamunda District Basketball Association (KDBA) moving to a full Club-Based Model starting in 2025, MJBC and St Brigid’s Basketball has made the decision to unite under one umbrella. We will start the 2024 season, with not much change, but as we work our way through to 2025 we will slowly unite which may involve some small changes.
Mazenod and St Brigid’s are both very excited about this forward change which will provide opportunities for both clubs to work in collaboration, grow, build a stronger relationship and provide the opportunity for social activities among both clubs.
We will continue to provide updates on the progress of this decision throughout 2024.
