Principal's Report

I can’t believe that we have almost completed another wonderful school year.

There are so many to thank who make learning at LPS such a positive experience.

School Leaders

These past few months we have been working through a selection process for our 2024 school captains.

We have been nothing short of amazed at the calibre of students who applied for the role.  LPS is so lucky to have so many students with the character and capabilities to carry out the role; this made the decision so much harder.

Our 2024 captains are:

Olive, Riley, Jarlie and Oscar.

These students will be presented formally at an assembly early next year.

So impressed by the depth of candidates, I feel I need to incorporate an additional role to our 2024 student leadership group. This group will be titled ‘Principal Advisory Group’. This group will be made up of 8 students.  They will meet with me twice a term throughout the year to discuss a range of topics and provide feedback to the school leadership team.

All students who participated in the process should be congratulated.

There will be an assembly in the undercover area at 3.15 to farewell our Year 6 students.

Parents are most welcome to attend.

Remember Wednesday 20th is a pupil free day.

To all parents who continue to support our school, whether it be in the classroom, on excursions, through PFA, breakfast club, school events, THANK YOU!

To all staff and students, thank you for making 2023 another wonderful year at LPS.  So much has gone on over the past year that some of it seems like a blur.

Some personal highlights of mine were:

The Performing Arts Night

Prep/Year 6 musical

The number of students who made it through to District Athletics

The Nudel Kart

The farm and oval re-opening

Book Parade

One Love sessions with Years 4-6

The amazing effort of all adult and students on the I Can Walk

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe and happy holidays!

See you in 2024.
