Year 5 - Outdoor Education Excursion - Coningham Beach

Friday 8 December

On Friday 8 December, as part of our Outdoor Education program, all Year 5 students will be visiting Coningham Beach. Our focus is on working together, connecting with the natural environment, decision making and initiative. The students will work through various activities including a walk, rock hop, initiative activities and photography. Outdoor Education teacher Lauren Stranger will be accompanying the students along with the classroom teachers and other support staff. Students will need to wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions (consider good sun protection). Pack spare shorts or trousers, a warm jumper (e.g fleece, not cotton), sun hat, sun cream, waterproof raincoat, lunch, snacks and water bottle. We will be leaving school at 9.00am and returning at about 3.00pm.

Year 6 End of Year Events

All parents are invited to attend the final Year 6 Assembly on Monday 11 December at 9.40am in The Farrall Centre. Each student will share something about their time in the Primary Years. The assembly will run for approximately an hour and be followed by morning tea, outside The Farrall Centre foyer. Please arrive to be seated by 9.30am.

In the Evening, the Year 6 social will be held in The Frank Wells Hall. Children will be signed in at 6.30pm and signed out at 8.00pm. We ask that parents come to the door to collect their child. Please email your child’s teacher about any alternative arrangements for their pick up. Dress code is casual smart clothing, similar to when they might go out to a nice restaurant. We want students to feel comfortable to dance and participate in activities on the night. We ask that students do not bring technology to this event. Staff will be taking photos during the social which will be available for sharing the following day.

Last day of term - Primary School Celebration

Wednesday 13 December

On Wednesday 13 December the Kindergarten to Year 6 classes and staff will be coming together as a learning community at the Argyle Street Campus to celebrate the last day of the 2023 school year, having lunch and enjoying a range of games and activities together. Please note the change of venue as the Bell Street Grounds will now be closed for maintenance.

Students may wear sports uniform and will require a packed lunch and water bottle. No lunch orders as the Canteen will be closed. All students will require a hat, and sunscreen will be available throughout the day. Drop off and pick up arrangements will remain as normal for this day.
