Social Design Challenge

Unit CD

We have been working on a social design challenge to stop arguments on the oval so students will have a better recess and lunch. We started our research with a survey that asked students what it is they do when they feel excluded. From the responses, we decided to redesign the oval so that more people would have options to play games or activities they preferred. So we drafted a plan to make the oval more appealing. We found on Facebook marketplace that people were selling soccer goals and thought we had nothing to lose by asking for people to donate, so we sent a text message to Luke from Strike Soccer and asked if he would be so generous as to donate some soccer goals to our school. Luke got in touch and agreed to donate the goals in exchange for promoting his soccer business that are skill clinics operating around Melbourne. Luke would like to run one of his clinics next year at our school.
