MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
Daniel Grozdanovski
Middle Sub School Manager
Only a couple more weeks until we find ourselves at the end of another school year. We have a busy few weeks to finish off the year.
Our Year 10 students finished their exams this week and they begin their orientation classes next week for year 11. Students are required to attend all their orientation classes over the next two weeks as this is a crucial step in preparing them for their transition to the senior school next year. We wish them all the best in their academic endeavours moving forward and good luck to those who find pathways into the workforce.
Year 9 students are busy with exam preparation at the moment as they look to complete their exams in Week 9. Students will have four exams this year, going for 90 minutes each, in their subject areas of Maths, English, Science and Humanities. This is great preparation for those students to apply their learning from the semester in a summative assessment task and expose them to the rigours of the years to come.
Year 9 students have also been given forms for the end of year activities. Students are required to fill out these forms and return them to C5 on the dates listed on the form. They will then be enrolled into these events on Compass for parents to give permission and make payments for the events. Students must have permission from their parent/carer and payments completed or they will not be able to attend the events.
Well done to the following students on their recent progress reports for their outstanding achievement over the past four weeks. We look forward to acknowledging more students at the End of Year Awards night in a few weeks time. The Middle Sub School will be contacting students over the coming weeks to inform them if they are required to attend.
