Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers, Students, and staff,
As we approach the end of the academic year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the numerous accomplishments and activities that have marked this year as a time of growth, learning, and achievement at Hampton Park Secondary College.
Maintaining High Levels of Attendance
One of the fundamental pillars of a successful education is regular attendance. Our students have demonstrated their commitment to their education by maintaining high levels of attendance throughout the year. Thank you to our students and parents and carers for reinforcing high expectations. Your efforts are commendable, and your diligence in attending classes regularly is the foundation of academic success for our students.
RITE Mentoring Graduation
Recently, we celebrated another milestone for some of our students' journeys with the graduation of the RITE Mentoring program. This mentorship initiative has provided invaluable support and guidance to our students. We are proud of the achievements and personal growth of our mentees and mentors. Thank you to Mr Matt Cram and to Ms Dzenana Mesic for supporting this program.
Final Exams for Year 10, 11, and 12
As we approach the end of the academic year, our Year 10, 11, and 12 students are gearing up for their final exams. These examinations mark the culmination of their hard work and dedication throughout the year. We wish them all the best as they approach this important chapter of their academic journey.
Valedictory Dinner at The Grand in Wantirna
One of the highlights of the end-of-year festivities is our Valedictory Dinner. It's a time for our Year 12 students to come together, celebrate their accomplishments, and bid farewell to their time at Hampton Park Secondary College. The event will take place at The Grand in Wantirna later in the month, and we look forward to a memorable evening.
Commencement Program for 2024
The start of a new academic year brings fresh opportunities, and our students are eager to begin their 2024 subjects. Our Commencement Program begins on Tuesday 21st November. A significant feature of the Commencement
Program for senior students is the successful completion of readiness tasks. Students must demonstrate their knowledge and skills to ensure students are well prepared for the subjects they will study next year.
Remembrance Day Commemoration
This year, student leaders will represent our college at the Hampton Park Remembrance Day Commemoration service. This is another opportunity for our student to gain knowledge and understanding and to remember those who served our country and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Lest we forget!
Congratulations
It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Ms. Amy Mraz as Assistant Principal to Berwick Secondary College starting next year. Amy's dedication and contributions to our college, especially her role in the development of the STEAM Center, have been significant. We are grateful for her work and proud of her achievement. I am sure that she will succeed in her new role.
Thank you for your continued support of our college.
