Term 4 Week 6

Welcome to our week 6 news for Families !

We are now over half way through Term 4 2023! Preparations are in place for 2024 enrolments and current families will be contacted soon with information to enrol in 2024. Our new preps will also receive enrolment packs in their transition sessions.

It was lovely to see some of our 2024 preps who have already enrolled with us and joined in our Spring vacation program at school yesterday for their first transition. They already had familiar faces in the older grades and enjoyed saying hello to them.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the Bolton family, Kim, Aalyiah and Rose and also the Stiegler family for their kind donations to our After school care program. We love to receive these donations and the staff and children are thrilled with the new additions x

What have we been up to in the last two weeks?

Last week following lots of interest in the garden and the goats and chickens as the weather is getting warmer we decided to base our activities on the farm.

We germinated some bean seeds in science, made some very cute pink piggy doughnuts in cooking. fully allergy friendly (thanks Maddi) so everyone could enjoy a yummy homemade doughnut !

This short week we have talked about remembrance day. As well as making some beautiful poppy's we have had discussions about the people we remember from our families who served in the wars. Emme talked about service animals and we remembered them too making Purple and red poppy cookies on Wednesday. This morning the children wanted to talk about the wars in our world today. Both the conflict in Ukraine and the Israel - Palestine War were brought up by some of our older children and we encouraged the children to pray for peace and to always discuss with their families if they have questions or worries about what is happening  in the world today.
