Persuasive:
A persuasive text is a form of non-fiction writing that aims to convince the reader of a certain point of view
Sizzling start:
A way to engage the audience. Sizzling starts include:
-starting with action
-starting at change
-using humour
-starting with sound
-begin with dialogue
-making the reader think

Students to practise writing sizzling starts. Topics they could use are:
- All schools should have a therapy dog
- Everyone should do their bit to care for our environment
