Dear Lord Jesus,
We come to you with heavy but hopeful hearts seeking your intervention in the conflict between Israel and Palestine. We pray for hope and healing and for an end to this conflict that has caused so much pain and suffering for generations. Please grant wisdom and compassion to leaders, guiding them toward reconciliation, justice and mercy.
Fill the hearts of all people in the region with your love and compassion so they may find a path to peace and coexistence. Heal the wounds of the past and inspire hope for a harmonious future.
Thank you for the many charities responding on the front line. Please give them the resources, knowledge and expertise to bring practical help and Gospel hope to those who need it.
May your divine light break through bringing unity, tranquillity and a lasting peace in Jesus’ name.
Amen

Soon Year 2 students will be making their first Reconciliation and the Parish program begins next week.
Here is some great info from CathFamily for everyone about this important Sacrament.
Preparing for Reconciliation is a must. A simple five minutes to slow down and reflect is all you need to make this sacrament meaningful and significant. One of the most useful tools to help you prepare is an Examination of Conscience. Catholics are encouraged to examine their conscience every day and offer a prayer of sorrow. Having an examination on hand is useful not only for your personal prayer, but the Sacrament of Reconciliation, whether you go twice a year or twice a week! We have a variety of options suitable for all ages to choose from and all come with check boxes you can mark to help you remember if it has been a while!
This article from CathFamily is particularly relevant for Year 2 students and their parents. Click on the link to learn more.
You are invited (particularly Year 5 families) to read some inspiring stories about the saints from CathFamily. Your child might be inspired by one of the stories to take a saint’s name for their Confirmation in Year 6. Click on the link to be inspired.
