Morning Reading

Welcome to our parents and students who are using the Library for reading in the morning. We hope that being surrounded by books is an inspiration for the reading journey our students are on. It is wonderful to see students enjoying the books they are reading while they build their reading muscles.

This Week in Library

This week students have continued to investigate our theme of Create by looking at books which stretch our imagination. The Years 3 and 4 students listened to a book called Look! Said the Little Girl by Tania Norfolk, which describes things in interesting words because the old man can not see the things she is showing him on their walk. Students picked something and wrote a description for someone who could not see.

Our Years 5 and 6 students are researching their chosen topic in preparation for writing a short story on that topic. This week they found an ebook via our digital libraries SORA and Wheelers. They included details about the book and notes on how it will help in their story, into their Library workbooks. We are looking forward to some terrific short stories by the end of the term.
