TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day and the SMPPS community wanted to show their appreciation to our wonderful teachers by hosting a surprise morning/lunch in the staff room.  We believe the teachers were unsuspecting and they were able to sit back and enjoy some delicious goodies in their break and read the beautiful messages from the kids and their families which were posted on the wall.  Each teacher was also given a small gift of a handmade & personalised lanyard & key chain as well as a coffee voucher for TinkerTailor.  We hope the teachers enjoyed their day and again we want to reiterate how much we value and appreciate all you do for our children.

A big thank you to all those who helped the day come together.

• Jeremy & Sarah from TinkerTailor (but aka parents of Tom and Raf!) who kindly donated a free coffee for each teacher. 
• Those who donated the food & drinks for today - Francine, Katrina, Jasmine, Anna, Adrian, Aili, Sonia, Carolyn, Adeline, Laura, Hyunkyung, SJ, Leanne, Seon and a special shout out to David who created the most beautiful teacher themed cupcakes – see the pictures!
• Adeline & Hyunkyung for helping us set up.
• And finally a HUGE thank you to Katherine (Annabel’s mum) and Kaman (Owen & Mila’s mum) who volunteered to be part of the event team and who created a beautiful theme for the day.  They hand made the teacher gifts, the thank you banner and put together the message wall for teachers to read as they enjoyed their food.  

The many hours and preparation involved was huge and such a lovely thing to do for our teachers, so thank you.
