Angair Rotations Day

Angair Rotations Day is where all the Year 6’s host different activities with a volunteer from Angair supporting them. My favourite activities were the bush tucker and video showing our front garden being built last year. In the bush tucker activity, we learnt that a familiar cereal is all bush foods, and how a blue flower can smell like chocolate. On the other hand, I loved watching the front garden turning from a few shrubs to an amazing garden filled with native plants. Charlie

Seeds and fruit was a station where we tried to guess the difference between fruit and seeds. We had lots of fun, even though we didn’t get many right. The Grade 6’s showed us lots of fruit and a lovely poem.

How Plants Work- At the how plans work station we learnt that in bad conditions leaves loose their water. Plants can also absorb water, if you put coloured water in the plant you can Colour It. We also shaded a leaf with any colour we wanted. Alice

I really enjoyed the indigenous plants in the front garden. I loved how you had to run around the garden with a partner, during the scavenger hunt.

Once of my favourites was the animal station with Sadie and Pearl. You had to guess animals based on the questions and the winning pair were the first to the finish. Aya
