Yesterday’s Junior Performing Arts Showcase was a fantastic event, and it was amazing to see the talent and enthusiasm on display from our K–2 students. The level of performance was incredibly impressive, and the confidence shown by our youngest performers was something they should be proud of.
This was the first time we’ve run the showcase in this format, and it was a great success. It gave all K–2 students the opportunity to watch, enjoy and celebrate their peers’ achievements, while also giving them a glimpse into what they might like to be part of in the future. We hope it inspires many to get involved in the performing arts next year. Well done to everyone involved.

Today we celebrated World Teachers’ Day, a chance to recognise the dedication, care and hard work of our incredible teaching staff. At Chatswood Public School, we are fortunate to have such a passionate and committed team who give so much to support the learning and wellbeing of every student.
A big thank you to our P&C for organising a delicious thank you lunch for our staff, and to the many families who generously donated desserts, the spread was truly impressive. I don’t think anyone will need dinner tonight! We feel very lucky to work at Chatswood PS!

We invite all parents and carers to join us on Thursday 6 November at 2.10pm in the school hall for an opportunity to meet Mr Chand, Principal of Chatswood High School. This session is open to all families, but we especially encourage parents of students in Years 2 to 5 to attend if you are beginning to think about your child’s high school journey.
We are very fortunate to have such a fantastic, comprehensive high school right on our doorstep. Chatswood High School offers a wide range of academic, creative and sporting opportunities and should be a strong option for many of our students as they transition to high school.
We hope to see you there for what will be a valuable and informative session.
Planning for the 2026 school year is already underway, and enrolment plays a vital role in helping us prepare. Our first Kindergarten 2026 orientation session will take next week, and it is important that families enrol early so children can take part in all sessions and enjoy a smooth transition to school.
If you know that your child will not be attending Chatswood PS in 2026, please let the school office know as soon as possible. Early notice supports our ability to plan for staffing, class structures and resourcing in the most accurate and efficient way. We appreciate your support in helping us prepare for another successful year.

School Tours provide families with an opportunity to see the school in action and hear about the wide range of opportunities available to our students.
