As Term 4 begins, we are delighted to share several joyful and inspiring milestones from our Catholic Special School community.
Last weekend four of our students Bridget, Hugh, Maron and Sebastian celebrated their First Holy Communion and Confirmation, marking a profound step in their spiritual journey. In the words of Pope Francis, “To nourish ourselves from that ‘Bread of life’ means being in tune with the heart of Christ, to assimilate His choices, His thoughts, His behaviour”. These celebrations remind us that Communion is not just a moment, but the beginning of a lifelong friendship with Jesus.
On the first Monday back of the school term, staff from across our Catholic Special School gathered for a combined Formation Day, with a focus on prayer. Together, we explored different types of prayer and began the collaborative process of writing a Catholic Special School Prayer, a shared expression of our faith, values, and commitment to education.
We extend a very big congratulations to several staff members who have recently completed their Graduate Certificate of Education (Catholic Education). Their studies included Christian Scriptures, theology, teaching methodologies and curriculum design in Catholic Education. This achievement reflects their dedication to deepening their understanding of Catholic identity and pedagogy and we are grateful for the wisdom they bring to our school.
Kind Regards
