SWPBS Behaviour Chronicles

From Monday 16th November, families will begin to receive chronicles for major and minor unacceptable behaviours that have been addressed at school. This process is part of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) system.

Staff have worked together to develop a clear flowchart of major and minor behaviours and how these will be managed. When addressing behaviours that are not accepted at HPS, all staff will respond in a manner that is calm, considerate, brief, immediate, and respectful.

The introduction of major and minor compass chronicles will not only ensure families are informed of any unacceptable behaviours, but will also allow us to collect valuable data across the school. This helps us to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

If you receive a notification:

•    It will outline the behaviour incident and the perceived motivation.

•    For minor behaviours, staff will manage the situation and only contact families if necessary.

•    For major behaviours, a staff member will be in contact with families within 24 hours.

Please take the time to read the following documents which explain the SWPBS system in more detail.
