Dear Le Page Community,
It has been a vibrant and energising fortnight at Le Page Primary School, filled with learning, creativity, leadership, and community connections. Our students continue to embrace every opportunity, and our staff and families once again demonstrate what makes our school such a special place.
Art Day
Art Day was a wonderful celebration of creativity and visual expression. Our learning spaces were transformed into studios bursting with colour, curiosity and imagination. A heartfelt thank you to Shelley Bradley, whose coordination and vision brought Art Day to life. We also extend our gratitude to the students who bravely and brilliantly facilitated workshops, a true demonstration of their growing leadership and teaching capacity. Their confidence, preparation, and willingness to share their talents embody the spirit of student empowerment at Le Page.
Leader in Me Lighthouse Accreditation Day
On Monday, we welcomed our Leader in Me Lighthouse Review Team. This was a significant milestone for our school as we work toward becoming one of the few recognised Lighthouse Schools in Australia, and a model for Leader in Me implementation nationally and internationally. A huge thank you to Kayla Mugford for her exceptional coordination, and to the students, staff, and parents who contributed so positively to the day. Your passion, preparation, and authenticity will undoubtedly support a successful review and highlight the exceptional leadership culture we continue to build together.
Motivational Music Program
A heartfelt thank you to Susie Davies-Splitter and Annette Schneider for their outstanding work leading our extensive Music Program. Yesterday’s performances at AVEO Village, featuring our talented soloists, choir, and band, were a true celebration of the musical excellence cultivated at Le Page. Our students shone with talent, confidence, and inspiration, captivating the audience and bringing so much joy to the residents. The professionalism and passion evident in every performance reflect the dedication, skill, and care that Susie and Annette invest in our musicians each week Thank you both for creating such meaningful opportunities for our students and for showcasing the incredible musical culture we are so proud of at Le Page.
Sporting Achievements
Our sports program has been a standout once again. Under the dedicated leadership of Jarrod Bradley, students have been encouraged, coached, and supported to reach their potential, not just in skill, but in character, teamwork, and resilience. This year, our teams have proudly represented Le Page at network, district, and state competition levels, reflecting the quality of our program and the commitment of our students. Thank you, Jarrod, for the opportunities you create and the excellence you inspire.
Colour Run Video - Thank You, Alain & Garry
A special thank you goes to Alain Behar, one of our talented and generous Le Page dads, for producing a spectacular Colour Run video for our community. Alain’s creativity and skill captured the energy and joy of the day beautifully. We also thank Garry Tanner for his incredible photography, which added so much to the final production. Contributions like these enrich our school culture and strengthen our sense of community.

Cyber Safety Sessions for Parents & Students
Next week the Social and Fundraising Team will host a series of Cyber Safety sessions that provide practical guidance for students and their families on navigating the digital world safely and responsibly. The student workshops will be highly engaging, while the parent session will offer valuable insights into current online risks and strategies to support children at home. A big thank you goes out to Judith Preston for spending many hours bringing these sessions to fruition, to help us strengthen our whole-school approach to digital wellbeing.
Celebrating Staff
We are thrilled to congratulate Anna Ottersbach and her husband Dave on the joyful news that they are expecting their first child. This is a very special time for their family, and we send our warmest wishes as they prepare for their exciting new chapter.
Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind
As we reflect on the year and look toward its conclusion, Habit 2 reminds us to envision our destination before we begin the journey. By helping students set goals, plan their steps, and reflect on their growth, we empower them to take ownership of their learning and their future. It is in these moments of reflection that true leadership is formed.
Every child is a story yet to be written, thank you, families, for being the co-authors who help shape each chapter.
Have a great weekend everyone.
