Wonderful 1

The 0ne-der Stars 1s
Term 4 Week 4 2025 - Friday 14th November
What have we been up to?
We have had a short but exciting couple of weeks in Grade 1! Last week, students enjoyed two days off before returning to school for our Art Day. They loved creating all of their wonderful pieces in each classroom and really let their creativity shine.
In Writing, Students have been busy planning and writing their very own narratives about an animal of their choice. They worked through each stage of the writing process: planning, drafting, editing, and publishing, and should be very proud of their wonderful stories. It has been wonderful to see how imaginative and proud they are of their finished pieces!
In Mathematics, we have been learning all about time. Students have explored how to read the time on an analog clock and have been learning to identify the duration of time and how long different activities take. They have enjoyed using clocks in hands-on activities and practising reading the hour and half-hour times.
Here are some photo highlights from the fortnight that was.
Some of the Year 1’s were enjoying playing chess at lunch time
