Can you believe it? We are already approaching the end of Term 1! Time has flown by, and what an incredible Term 1 it has been. I want to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful students for their engagement and desire to learn. Your enthusiasm and dedication have truly made this Term special. Your hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed.

I am thrilled to share that our new Year 9 program has gotten off to a tremendous start. The innovative approach and the enthusiasm of our students and teachers have set a strong foundation for the future. A heartfelt thank you to our Board for their tireless efforts this Term, especially in considering the future of Leighland and the Ulverstone master plan. Your dedication and vision are greatly appreciated.

On a personal note, I will be on study leave for the remainder of this Term and the beginning of next Term. During this time, I will be spending much-needed reflection, rest, and rejuvenation as I embark on a spiritual retreat and reflect on my leadership. I will also continue working through my MBA and participate in a Leadership course for CEOs in Singapore. May I kindly ask the community to pray for me during this time, as I seek guidance and strength from our Lord.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of Christian Education National (CEN) and the larger movement of Christian schools throughout the country. The Senior Leadership team has just returned from the CEN Executive and National conferences in Sydney, and it was a time of great joy. We reflected on our Christian schools being stronger together and staying at the table to serve God at such a time as this. What a joy it was to be with our colleagues from across our nation.

As we wrap up Term 1, let us remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." May we continue to trust in the Lord and seek His guidance in all that we do.

Wishing you all a blessed and restful break.

Warm regards,

Natasha Mackinnon
