Principal's Message

Hello Everyone,

Hi everyone, it’s Brant again! Can you believe how fast time is flying! Only two and a half weeks until the holidays again, unbelievable!

Welcome to Matt Tyndall

A warm welcome to Matt Tyndall, who will be stepping in as our Acting Principal while Deb is on leave. Feel free to pop into the office to say hello or catch him out and about in the yard during the mornings and afternoons.

3/4 - 5/6, and Elite athletics

Huge congratulations to our athletics teams over the past two Fridays! Both groups competed with great spirit and sportsmanship. Our 3/4 team placed 4th on the day, while our 5/6 team took 1st place!

It’s all about the experience on these days and winning is just an added bonus. We are so proud of the 350 students who participated across both days. You all represented your school brilliantly!

A massive thank you to all the parents who came along to help; these events wouldn’t be possible without your support. And a HUGE thank you to Mr. Stephens for his dedication in training and coordinating the event!

All the best to our elite athletics team who will be competition against five other school this Friday at the Mt Evelyn Athletics track.  We wish all our competitors well. Do your best!

Uniform Reminder

Just a friendly reminder about uniform with the change of weather we had on Monday.  We are more than happy for students to wear additional jackets/coats when cold, however, these must be over your normal school jacket.  All additional jackets/coats must then be taken off when in class, as the rooms are heated.

NAPLAN

A huge congratulations to our incredible Year 3 and Year 5 students for putting in their best effort during NAPLAN over the past few days! We are so proud of your hard work, perseverance, and positive attitude throughout the assessments. No matter the results, what truly matters is your dedication to learning and always striving to do your best. Well done, everyone!

Easter Egg Raffle

Our much-loved Easter raffle is fast approaching!  This will be happening on Thursday 3rd April (last day of term) from 1.10pm – 2pm in the stadium.  If you are in the position to make a donation towards our raffle then it would be much appreciated.

New Garden

Things are really moving along now! The contractors anticipate completion by mid to late April. Here are a couple of pictures to show the progress:

Privacy and Use of Photography

Just a reminder to parents that MEPS has a privacy policy, regarding the use of personal data, which is in line with Department policy. It can be found on the school website https://meps.vic.edu.au/policies/privacy.pdf

Mooroolbark East Primary also has policies around the taking and use of photos and filming, which is also in line with Department policies and can be found on the school website https://meps.vic.edu.au/policies/photographing_filming_and_recording_students.pdf
