Term 2, Week 1
Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome back to Term 2 to our students, families and staff. I hope you all enjoyed the Easter break and are ready to embrace our 11 week term with excitement and enthusiasm.
We concluded Term 1 with our Easter Pilgrimage walk through the school reflecting on the journey of Jesus. We approached a series of stations set up throughout the school and listened to our prophets talk about the Easter story. We then gathered at our church for our Liturgy. It was great to see so many parents attend the pilgrimage walk and liturgy.
As a school community, we pause to reflect on the recent passing of Pope Francis, a deeply compassionate and courageous leader who inspired millions around the world with his humility, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to justice and mercy. His messages of love, peace and caring for the poor, resonated across generations and faiths. Pope Francis reminded us to see Christ in each other and to walk together in hope, kindness, and solidarity. We give thanks for his remarkable life of service and pray for the Church. May his legacy continue to guide and inspire us all.
There is always lots to look forward to during a new school term. Many excursions and incursions have been planned, Mother’s day Breakfast and stall as well as our Prep Mother’s Day mass on Tuesday 6th May. Our Year 4 students will prepare and celebrate their First Eucharist and the term will conclude with our mid year student reports and parent teacher conversations. Throughout the term we will also be preparing for our Prep 2026 interviews and enrolment process, which is always an exciting time of the year meeting our new families.
On Friday where we remember and honor the brave men and women who served for our country. ANZAC Day holds great significance in Australian and New Zealand history, commemorating the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for our freedom. Our School Captains and Mrs Gloutftsis will represent our school and attend the ANZAC day service tomorrow morning at ANZAC Park.
