Senior School

Term 1 Recap ⭐️

Term 1 has been an incredibly busy and rewarding start to the year! We've packed in a multitude of experiences, from the energetic Swimming Carnival and spirited Inter-school Sports, to the heartwarming Family Afternoon and Bake a Wish fundraiser. The students embraced the excitement of the Circus Incursion and the colourful chaos of Thrive Day's colour run. We also navigated important milestones such as NAPLAN, sex education, and school photos, alongside productive Parent-Teacher Interviews. The Warrandyte High School visit provided valuable insight, and the delicious Hot Cross Bun Day was a delightful treat. It's been a whirlwind of learning, community, and fun, and I'm immensely proud of how everyone has participated and grown.

Miss Black, Mr Smith and Mrs Sharland are all excited to see what is to come in Term 2 and we all hope our Year 5 and 6 family have a beautiful well deserved Holiday Break and Easter celebrations.

TRP in Grade 5/6 🧘🏼

This term students are actively engaging in The Resilience Project, a wellbeing program designed to foster positive mental health. Through interactive lessons and activities, they're learning practical strategies centered on Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness (GEM). On Wednesday, we completed a group meditation with the Grade 2, 3 and 4 students, guided by Mrs Hansen. Students were guided through a 15 min meditation taking them to a new world in their minds. The students loved this session, after which they completing some mindfulness colour in the sunshine. ☀️
