Information & Events for our Local Community

2026 Prospective Information Evening

Term 2 started off with one of our biggest transition events for the year - the 2026 Prospective Information Evening. We welcomed over 200 people to the College on Thursday May 1st to experience an information session, scavenger challenge and meet and greet with our staff and leaders. It was fantastic to see so many of our community members attending the evening to learn more of what Cranbourne East has to offer their students commencing Year 7 in 2026.

Congratulations to the winner of our scavenger challenge, Navraj, who asked questions of our staff and leaders to complete the challenge card. They took home a prize pack including a uniform voucher! We look forward to welcoming you all again in Term 4 when we host our information evening and Orientation Day.

First Aid

As we enter the colder months, it's important for our school community to take steps to stay healthy and reduce the spread of colds and flu. Here are some key recommendations from Victorian Government Health Authorities to help keep everyone well this winter.

How to reduce the spread of cold and flu:

  • Wash and sanitise hands regularly, especially after coughing, sneezing or touching shared surfaces.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow when you cough or sneeze.
  • Maximise ventilation in indoor spaces and use air purifiers where possible.
  • Stay home if you are unwell and consult your GP or NURSE-ON-CALL as needed.
  • Wear a mask if you need to go out while unwell, to protect others.

When to stay home:

  • Students and staff should stay home from school if they have symptoms such as fever, runny nose, sore throat, cough, or chills.
  • Exclusion from school is recommended until symptoms resolve to prevent spreading illness to others.
  • If symptoms worsen or you are in a high-risk group, seek medical attention.

Additional tips for families:

  • Encourage children to practise good hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
  • Use resources like “Be a Soapy Hero!” to teach children about proper handwashing.

By working together and following these steps, we can help protect our school community and minimise the impact of the cold and flu season. For more information, visit the Better Health Channel or speak with your healthcare provider.
