Year 1/2's have been learning about procedural writing. A procedure helps you make something or do something. The students enjoyed following a procedure to make fairy bread.

Year 5/6
On Thursday May 27th Bianca from Headspace came and did a health talk with the students in 5/6. Bianca spoke about the importance of looking after our health and hygiene. She explained the difference in deodorants that we should use and that an anti-perspirant one is best for under our arms and the others are good for making us smell nice. She also talked about the importance of exercise and sleep.
Mackenzie from 5/6 created a poster for eSmart Week.
Year 5/6 Inquires
We had to search up information about a topic we chose involving around health, then we had to paraphrase it in our own words. Our teachers printed off our work and then we had to find some images to support the information on our posters.

In Performing Arts we have been learning to Square Dance. Students have enjoyed the challenge and are really getting involved. A lot of happy faces and giggles.
We have been playing a new game… Hello Mrs Rogers! Student have lined up and had Mrs Rogers guess who’s saying good morning… students had a go to- it was a lot of fun! It can be tricky to pick some of these.
Art
Wow, as first term comes to an end all classes have been working very hard on their Easter Hat parade fashions! From design to decoration it has been a very creative (& messy) time in the art room!
The whole school has also been working on a school Harmony tree, so when you're next here...either for Wednesday's assembly or Friday's Easter Hat Parade, please take a look (wonder if you can pick who's hand is who's?).
HOL
In HOL, we have been working away on our wind chimes. Students will be able to bring them home this week, after spending the last 3 sessions measuring, cutting and decorating their chimes. This has been a fiddly process, however students displayed great resilience and teamwork to see it through. We have mainly used recycled materials to make these chimes.
Heading into next term, we will start looking at building things for the school, and making something that benefits us all. We will also look at organising a collaboration with Echuca College and using their tools and resources.
