Wellbeing and Inclusion

Disability and Inclusion
Hello, my name is Amy Smith, and I am pleased to introduce myself as the P.O.P.S Disability and Inclusion Leader.
In this role, I work to support students with disabilities and help build an inclusive school where every child feels valued, supported, and able to participate fully in learning.
Disability Inclusion helps our school better understand each student’s strengths and needs through a strength-based approach, including the Disability Inclusion Profile. I will work with teachers and staff to make adjustments in the classroom to support learning, provide ongoing coaching to support high-quality teaching and learning and ensure every student has the tools and support they need to succeed.
I am passionate about working in partnership with students, families, and staff to proactively respond to student needs and ensure all students are supported to achieve their full potential at school and in life.
Mental Health and Wellbeing
Hello, my name is Judi Debono, and I am excited to introduce myself as the P.O.P.S Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader.
In this role, I am committed to building staff capacity for early identification and intervention, establishing clear referral pathways, and supporting student wellbeing through evidence-based strategies. I act as a vital link between classrooms, families, and external support services, ensuring every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.
Guided by our school values of Kindness, Integrity, Excellence, and Respect, and through approaches such as The Resilience Project (Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness) and SWPBS, I will work closely with staff and families to foster positive choices, resilience, and emotional wellbeing for every child.
I am passionate about helping all students feel safe, supported, and confident, and I look forward to partnering with our school community to create a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
