The House Country was also a trial for students to make the District Cross Country Team. The age groups and race distances for the District Event (which will be held on Friday 10 May) are as follows:
9/10 years (2km)
11 years (3km)
12/13 years (3km)
Each school is allowed to send up to 10 runners in each event, so for most races there is well over 100 competitors. The goal is to make the Top 15 runners in your event which means you qualify for the next stage - Division. We will communicate results in next week's newsletter and wish all our students the best of luck.
Our Grade 3/4 students will be participating n the Grade 3/4 Footy Day on THURSDAY 23rd MAY at the Gordon Barnard Reserve, North Balwyn.
We will enter 3 x boys teams and 2 x girls teams.
We are doing some training during our fitness sessions at school.
It is AFL 9's and is non tackle.
The 1st year "Bachelor of HPE" students from Deakin are at Our Holy Redeemer teaching our Thursday morning classes over the next couple of weeks.
We welcome them to our school and our students are enjoying learning lots of skills.
