Thank you to everybody who has donated to our fundraising efforts for Project Compassion. OHR has raised close to $3,500 which is an amazing effort. Congratulations to the members of Prep HW, 1/2GC, 1/2HH and 5/6MM who all reached their fundraising targets. This means they following staff members will be dunked with icy cold water after school at 3.15pm on the following dates.

A snapshot of RE Learning in 5/6MM
We have been reflecting on the Passion Plays from last term as a part of our learning in Religion. Students have been studying the Easter Story as told in the Gospel of Mark and making connections between their own lives and experiences and that of the themes explored in the Easter Story.
In doing this, the students have deepened their understanding of the significance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
Sunday Gospel
The liturgy of the Catholic Church provides a framework for reflection which is used by Catholics throughout the world. Each week in the Newsletter, you will find the Sunday Gospel as well as some discussion questions to have with your child/ren.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark
Jesus showed himself to the Eleven and said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation. He who believes and is baptised is saved; he who does not believe will be condemned. These are the signs that will be associated with believers: in my name they will cast out devils; they will have the gift of tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands, and be unharmed should they drink deadly poison; they will lay their hands on the sick, who will recover.’
And so the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: there at the right hand of God he took his place, while they, going out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that accompanied it.
