Earth Day is a global event that is celebrated every year on April 22nd to bring awareness to sustainability and environmental issues. This year was a focus on plastic and how it is appearing in our air and oceans. The Earth at Academy club hosted an 'Ask us Anything' during lunch time to answer student questions, offer quizzes and provide environmental petitions to be signed. It was a massive success with 134 quizzes and petitions signed.
We also recruited more members for our club to help us with our recent recycling program changes.
The Earth at Academy club meets during Tuesday lunchtimes and always welcomes new members!
