Vale Andrew Sloane

Yesterday I was informed that the principal at Norwood Secondary College, Andrew Sloane, passed away after a short illness.  We hold Andrew's family and the Norwood community in our thoughts, as they take the time to process this and to grieve their loss.

Mothers Day Stall

A huge thankyou to all the parent volunteers that helped set up and run the Mother's Day Stall last Friday.  It was fabulous to see so many dads represented: Lee Gamble, Ivan Wong, Tim Cameron, Paul Randle, David Silver, Tom Candy, Gareth May, Madhava Wijayaratne, Bruce Rohde, Sam Shafaati, Marc Purcell, Eima Naghavi and Emily Mojarrad.  Special thanks also to donations gifted to the stall from the families of Amelia C, Bonnie, Samuel and Evan, Harper, Sophie and Tom, Mia, Ella and Lily, Hamish and Isla, James and Layla, Estelle, George and Seb, Lachlan and Thomas and Alanis.  After costs were taken out, the Mother's Day Stall raised $769. I'm sure there was lots of excitement on Mothers Day when the specially chosen gifts were given!
