House Captains

Each week we are focusing on one of the APS Young Leader Teams and this week we introduce to you the House Captain Team. We have selected Hermela and Karan as representatives of the House Captain Team and asked them some questions about what they do each Wednesday afternoon in our Young Leaders Program.
What do you do each week on Wednesday afternoon?
Hermela: “I am a blue house captain, I always strive for the best for my house colour. My role as a house captain is to organise fun activities and events for all students at A.P.S, I also participate in important decisions that affect the school in a positive way”.
Karan: “I am a blue house captain that plans athletics day and more, I also plan all the end of term events”.
Why do you think this group is important for students at Albanvale Primary School?
Hermela: “Our group helps the school with planning fun activities for all students to enjoy, the main point of our group is to help others to learn to collaborate, to have fun and to learn sportsmanship”.
Karan: “To make events and make it more exciting for the school”.
What is your favourite part of being in this group?
Hermela: “My favourite part of being in the house captains is making decisions that affect the school in a positive way.”
Karan: “Planning events that are fun and exciting for the school”.
